Cinema has always been a bridge between cultures, encouraging dialogue, understanding and a shared vision for a more inclusive world. The Bengaluru International Film Festival reflects Karnataka’s commitment to peace, unity and diversity-values deeply embedded in the government’s vision for social and cultural enrichment. This year’s theme, Universal Peace in Diversity, highlights the power of cinema in promoting harmony, mutual respect and meaningful exchanges across communities.
While showcasing global narratives, the festival also embraces local perspectives, ensuring that Karnataka’s cinematic voice contributes meaningfully to the broader discourse on culture, identity and human values. By bringing together stories from different backgrounds, BIFFes creates a space where artistic expression meets social reflection, celebrating both the uniqueness of cultures and their shared aspirations. This ongoing exchange of ideas strengthens our collective understanding and paves the way for greater inclusivity. Beyond entertainment, the festival takes a humanistic approach, shedding light on stories that address social issues, individual struggles and the universal pursuit of peace.
